Hey, can anyone give me advice on the best way to get someone to get back to you from First Canada or one of these places? I'm more than qualified as a bus or truck driver and I've sent my CV but I'm starting to get the impression that these folks get a zillion CVs and phone calls a day. Is it more worth someones while to just come out and take your chances?I'd prefer to have a job before going out there but I guess everyone would. Thanks in advance for any replies.

As I keep saying right now is a bad time to start looking. It's starting to get mucky real fast again. He'll even the billion dollar project I'm working on that wanted to go right threw spring by matting everything got shut down by the county so they put me on the highway pulling 10 axle loads from sask-bc. And yes the best way to apply to most jobs is in person if you can.

I used to steer the dolly when I first started heavy hauling, but now I'm pulling.

I had a buddy that worked at entrec last yr for a bit.
He was moving equipment around for the most part but said it takes a while to move up into the big loads. Hes not working there anymore. Had too many problems working out of stony plain and living in red deer.

Ya, I figured it was right around breakup, but I'd rather research early before I make any decisions. Any other advice or good companies you guys can think of is much appreciated! Thanks for the help :)

Can someone please explain to me why in the trucking industry they can cut your wage in half for shop/travel hours? If I'm going to get paid $35/hr I want to get paid $35/hr all the time same as any other job out there. Any companies that don't do this?Thankyou

They don't get paid when your in the shop. It's coming out of their pocket. Usually when your done a job for a company the charge out is finished for your time. Basically their cheap. I get same rate from time I leave home and return with ot.
