Pride would be a good choice and they have a high volume of freight in and out of Southern Cali, I think they also have a western 11 regional. Good equipment, good people, My buddy worked there 6 years

Thanks for the pride info Palla, I need to call them again to get some clarification on what they told me, my guess is because I have over 2 years otr under my belt but that was over 5 years ago......I wonder if they have a CDL school because their training does resemble England's training as far as phases and miles and what not.....I would not mind at all giving them a 1 year commitment and drive solo in a regular and not in a lightweight truck like at Prime.....when I drove for kllm, I always stayed out 6 or so weeks, but I went thru Fontana often enough not to mind that at all....6 weeks in a lightweight truck?.....I'm not sure.

They do have a training program. They do just like all the other schooling companies. They will take you without your permit and train you from there or if you already have your CDL and have just been out of it for a while they will take you and train you then as well

hey Pallas83 you might consider Prime school. I know you have your CDL in hand. Normaly they may not hire you due to your lack of experience. But if you tell them you are willing to go through school as long as you can keep your current CDL. They may say ok.

I'm currently with crst. While I've got no problem with them that I wouldn't have elsewhere I'm looking to switch so I can drive solo and regional, which they offer neither. The main ones I'm looking at are kkw, Gordon and pride. Got a couple questions about kkw I can't seem to find answers to. On average, how many miles do you actually get? Any idea if they only hire around the Pomona area? ( I live up by Santa Maria). And do the trucks have apu's or inverters?

i can't really answer any if those other than maybe saying I do know someone who lives in Sacramento tha drives for them. I would guess with where they run their average trip would be in the 1200 mile range. In a week I would guess around 2400-3000. I will get a hold of my buddy and try and get the correct answers for you.

I sure would appreciate it. Oh I also need to know if they take the trucks home. Fortunately I live in one of those rare truck friendly small Cali towns.
