I am looking for on board scale but to be connected on internet so I can track 'scale' remotely over the internet. Preferably to be connected over wifi since I plan to have wifi in each truck.
Does new Peterbilts trucks has something like this?
Something like this but to be transmitted on some internet data instead on handheld. Best would be some IPhone App.

When I was a new driver I thought these gadgets were necessary. I will probably shock everyone here but I haven't weighed a load in over a year. I can tell how the truck pulls whether there is too much weight on my drives or on the trailer. I perfected this technique since the very first hours of me driving for the first time I got an overweight ticket lol. I didn't think I could last in trucking by already screwing up, so I studied and learned all of the tricks so I can get my weight correct every single time. You could blind fold me and I will tell you if the truck is overweight on an axle or not.

EverywhereMan, GabeScott, GITRDUN45 and 2 others Thank this.

Only if I sit in your truck for two minutes I will know if it is legal or not.

okay the system costs 3180, and scaling @ $11 10 first weight 1.00 reweigh, will give you 289 scales, scaling out ever other day, will put you at cost for 578 days or alittle over one and a half years, over upfront costs, and that system doesnt give you a guarantee, "weigh what we say or we pay." Sometimes the guarantee is worth the extra money, cause lets face it, you and i know your not going to scale out EVERY load, and if your running overweight and YOU KNOW IT IE Log trucks ect, whats the point in even wanting to know your weight, other than to see if the mills ripping you off.

would adding air scales you know the old fashioned ones not be cheaper ?

It means, racerdad. That after a while. Looking at your BOLS, and how the truck feels. You too MIGHT learn if scaling necessary on every trip.

I need "real time" over IP scale monitoring. -

But certainly here but won't be cheap for live remote monitoring and reporting but if you need it, you need it ..
