My new career with Superior Carriers begins!

I don't know how I have managed to avoid that terminal, but in two years I have yet to go there.

 

Well if this tells anyone (potential prospects) anything about Superior, I just turned down a high paying local job to stay at Superior. The 5pm-5am schedule was the deal breaker for me. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

Don't get me wrong, I love Superior and was not really looking to quit. But I had a company call me in for an interview after putting in an application. I figured I would check it out. The guy wanted to hire me but I decided to stay put.

 

Yep. Good company too. Problem is they have a bunch of drivers that have been there forever because it is a good company so it would have been at least 2 years before I could possibly see a day position come open. I would be at the bottom of the ladder. Plus the guy told me during the holidays it was hard to get off because they are super busy at Thanksgiving and Christmas with people traveling. The other thing was I would have two days off a week but it was Monday and Tuesday. Not the weekend.

That is one thing I can say about Superior. They have always gotten me home for the holidays and anytime I need off for anything else or just some home time they always get me home. When I am off it is always on the weekends.
