Also I see you talking about grilling out behind your truck. What kind of grill are you using and how do you keep it clean so it doesn't smell up/dirty up your truck?

We have a small $20. propane grill from Walmart. We store it in the tarp box. We scrub the grill like a normal one with a wire brush. The only problem we have is all the truckers that sniff their way over when using it :biggrin_25519:

    Garrison64 Thanks this.

I use a charcoal smoker type grill. I clean it like any other grill surface. I keep it under my bunk, and I have no problems with smell. Let it burn out completely, then dump it out. To easy.

There's no "straight" answer on this. Mav sent out a message stating they were going to slow units down, in an effort to lower our safety scores. They "slowed" them down to 64 mph I believe?? I have been told by mav mechanics that your top speed is based on your mpg's. I average 7.9 mpg. I have been in ALL terminal shops, and they haven't touched mine. I even asked the shop foreman in Little Rock about it. He looked on his computer and said I was good.
I keep my cruise set at 58 mph. My top speed is 68 mph.

Thanks, if I get hired on, I'll probably set my cruise lower than 65 to be on the safe side.

Hey guy. I don't wish to discourage you in any way. You need to realize that if you join ANY company and go OTR, you basically are going to "live" in your truck. I go home 1 weekend per month. I "live" in my truck 3 weeks at a time. It gets hard sometimes.

Life is going well now at Maverick. My new f/m is taking very good care of me, and running the "dog" outta me. I had to get a "C" service at the Madison yard a bit ago. Never thought anything of it. I was driving through Mississippi and got all tangled up with traffic and 4 wheelers and thought, well shoot I'll just jump out in the hammer lane and get around this mess. So.... I jumped out there, mashed that pedal down, and if fell on its face at 64 MPH!!
Madison had slowed the truck down.
    I felt "violated".
