Just trying to get an idea here from brokers and owner/operators alike. Load board stuff. How bad is it? $1.25? $1.30? $1.50? $1.60?

Curious to know that too, I'll be leasing on a guy from out that way soon. Hoping he has some good contacts, not an area I'm familiar with.

Anything out of Philly is usually cheap. IIRC, I couldn't afford to go from Philly to Nashville because I had a $2/mile minimum, and the rates on that lane were around $1.50/mile for dry van last year.

Edit: If I ended up dropping in Philly, I usually ran empty to Winchester, VA or Richmond to get my next load. Sometimes a hot load popped up in Baltimore or Newark, DE with a decent rate, but rarely.

It is bad, I am finding I can get $1.60 to $1.80 if I work hard. Brokers are trying to get $1.20
