Junk upgraded to better junk.
fortycalglock Thanks this. -
You get two cracks in the frame rails rather then just one.
fortycalglock Thanks this. -
Ha!
I see some that say Eagle and some that say Eagle 2, just wondering what the difference was and which is the best to have. -
Since you haven't bought one of these pieces of junk yet, STOP!!! Don't do it. Pick another brand like Fontaine. I owned two Transcraft Eagle 48x102 flats that I bought at the same time. I learned my lesson. Transcrack, Transcrap, Pieces of ####, and my personal favorite that my local trailer shop called both of mine, rust bucket are all well earned nicknames. Yes the frames crack back in the suspension area, yes they turn to rust. The only thing that gave mine ANY resale value and not go to the scrap yard was the fact that they had aluminum deck crossmembers. Every frame crossmember had been replaced. There was probably an additional 300 pounds of steel on one of mine after all the repairs and reinforcements had been done.
Fontaine, Manac, Great Dane, Utility, anyone is better than Transcrap. -
ok,so to clarify, You don't like Transcraft trailers or you do?
-
I went in to owning them without bias, and came out a Transcraft bigot.281ric Thanks this.
-
I Kind of got that from your post
-
Still waiting for someone to tell me the difference in a Eagle and a Eagle 2!
-
I guess I didn't. A quick call to a dealer should let you know the main differences. Before you do buy, check out Fontaine's new milled rubrail. I've had quite a few forklifts smack mine without a ding. I don't like my Fontaine Infinity step for a few stepdeck specific reasons, but if I was buying a combo flat, it would be a Fontaine Infinity.
