Let this be a lesson for some of you. Is this the way you want to be treated?? No??? Then keep your #### together and do the right things. Western Express is one of the worst out there. You have the ball in your court when you keep your head up and your nose clean. Look at these threads. Look at this one in particular. Hometime is not a privilege. It's your home.

Somebody needs to do a scan of that policy, and post it online.
    Would have more impact.

Well, I had 11 companies offer me jobs in the last 2 days. I can't believe I was even considering Western Express. Just was being impatient. So I chose the one a good friend works for and he has no complaints.

It happens lots......most of the loads i pulled for the last company I worked for were such that my GVW was 79K Lbs. and over....why would a company not load as much as legally possible on a truck they are paying full load fees for? If the load was on a split axle 48 ft flatbed it was almost ALWAYS 12 on the steers, 34 on the drives and 40 on the trailer axles. Maximum bang for the buck.....and dont get me started on "creative logs".

Unfortunately many new drivers are so unaware of this kind of crap they think it is the norm. Driving schools can't or won't tell the newbie what the real world of trucking is all about. This leads to either a driver that is unable to change companies so goes to into dumpster diver status or is not able to see the real world around them and thinks that being treated this ways OK. Then there are the drivers that think because the company has a terminal 2 mi from the house is a good deal no matter the treatment they get.

they all lie in the beginning though. every recruiter that came to my school was from the company with the most home time. i just started at western express and hopefully i can make through 90 days. gonna be tougher than i thought. I am now lying awake listening to some stranger snore that i had no idea they'd stick me in a hotel room with. bout to go sleep in the hallway.
