^good luck! got mines a few weeks ago still looking for a company

just wondering if i still have to drive if i have mines or not

 

I am going to be National Flatbed Class (curtain side) May 5th! See you there!! I don't know about you, but if I didn't need that vacation check I would of taken the spot for the class starting on April 28th!

 

Who else will be in flatbed class?

 

I hear you there (vacation check)...bonus is coming end of May and my company is putting $1200 bucks into my HSA account on May 1st!!! Oh what a nice little parting gift..totally forgot about that part...lol.

 

That is the only reason I didn't jump for the 28th! LOL Hey we have earned it right???

 

Heck yeah we did...so now I don't feel to bad about only getting 9 days of vacation paid out of the 20 I was suppose to have if I stayed. So at least the first 9 days of school will be paid for...LOL.

 

Here is the funny thing, my boss just told me they are checking into hiring a CDL A driver to haul the RV furniture we make each week, right now they have 2 P.O.S box trucks that break down on a bi-weekly basis, one right now of which has been in the shop for over a week now and 2 drivers, neither of which has a class A. My boss asked me how much the school was and then said or tried to ask if I would be interested and I told him there was no way I would drive for them as they pay very little but expect LARGE AMOUNTS of work out of you.

Considering I was hired as shipper/receiver. I was made supervisor over 2 other workers in shipping-no raise from $9 hr. Then I had to cover for other 2 drivers who make $13.50 hr, no-raise, then I also have to keep track of 95% of all inventory we have to build said RV parts...$1 raise. So hmmm... do ya think they will pay a decent wage for a class A driver~not likely. There are people in this factory who have been there for over 3 years without a raise. Sad situation and one I am getting out of MAY 2nd!!! YEAH ME!!

Im gonna take that little check and RUN! LOL

 

$9/hr and no raise for being a supervisor...I'd run too!! I was an assistant supervisor for 14 years/no raise either. But I am making a little more than $9 ($25/pc work) but after a total of 25 years in factories enough is enough. A lot of micro-managing going on..yadda yadda yadda. Just want to get out and drive and see more of this country (even if its at 62mph--without the cruise..lol).

 

Congratz guys and gals! You will be on the road soon. BTW, you can go 63 on cruise!

 

Hey, it's still faster than swift, prime, SNI, I pass a few trucks on the road, even some Roehl trucks lol at snail speed ofcourse I guess I got the lucky truck because mine goes 64
