A $5 token is worth 10 in the bush.

Take it for what's its worth - the chance to get a decent meal at a discount.

When you get on the truck, that's when you really have concerns.
Because, how can you cook really good meals in a little box when you are out for weeks on end?
One of my favorites is a baked potato with baked salmon and steamed vegies. And all it takes is one little lunch-box oven that runs off 12V, and a 12V cooler.

I stop at Wal-Mart nearly every day, just to get things fresh.
And what better way to spend your 30 minute break, than getting your next fresh meal?

I knew that question would stir some people up, let's face it it will be 14 hour days for 3 straight weeks, baloney and cheese gets old. Jus,t want to know how the cafeteria food is.

Not so weedhopper. It's only 10 hour days with 1 day off in nearly 3 weeks. I'm convinced the ONLY reason they give you a day off is to do a 34 before drive week.

I'm with Steve, not enough time to walk all the way to jake break, get your food cooked, eat it, and walk back. but to answer your question, the food is good. I like the fajita quesadilla. they don't make burritos and personally I think the taco truck that comes by after the jake break closes is terrible.

You sir, just don't appreciate the finer points of roach coach cuisine. Not to mention the colon cleansing benefits.

You really have no idea how much I wish I had jammie's to match my truck, do you?

Indeed... but even those finer points still have their caveats... I know that all too well.

Well, the runs can clean you out pretty well.

    I would imagine.
