Heres the thing about o/o. many will quote the gross number. Many of us gross 200K, but then ater fuel, truck payments etc, we net a lot less. After all my expences i make between 2500 and 4000 a week. I expect to make about 150K this year. Actually i don't since im gonna buy a new trailer. but, Thats an investment. If i kep my business running as is and did not try and grow id make 150k.
sbryant82585 and wrongwaytommy Thank this. -
myself and a couple of guys leased on with me grossed 538,000 last year
my take after all the dust settled was over 50,000,that`s all I am going to say
we worked hard and sometimes long weeks, and we all had a good year
I was out of work for several months because of a medical condition that got cleared up.
We pull dry vans
aveaging 2500-4000 a week is a average week for most o/o`ssbryant82585 Thanks this. -
10,000 to 16,000 per month sounds good to me. That would allow me to buy a house and live a better life. Downside is that I live in California. Not very trucker friendly out here.

I forgot to ask, when you say after all expenses are you including taxes?
-
to Richter: That is very impressive to me. Are you saying that after ALL business expenses you are able to pull out $150,000 per year as an owner draw? Do you generate this income with one truck?
Texact23 Thanks this. -
Im currently have one truck (paid off) and am using a company trailer leased on to TMC. Now, im gonna buy a trailer (i don't need to, i could keep using company trailer) so i wont actually make 150 this year, but im on track for that if i just kept business as is. My fuel cost is .55 per mile. Maint is .09. taxes, insure, permits etc. .04. expenses are only .68/mile. Some guys spend that just in fuel. Most of my loads average 2.00/mile including empty (to me) including FSC. that means i make around 1.32 per mile. 2272 miles will make me 3000 bucks. Now load rates varrie. I have some weeks where i make 2000 and others that i make 5000.
but yes, after all expences if i dont buy a new trailer im looking at 150k
Now, i have an awsome fleet manager and i dont take bad loads. I don't know if everyone could make those numbers at TMC, but i always did well with them.LittleMissCabover Thanks this.
