Freight must be crazy this week. I get a preplan last night for a load with a 0845 p/u even though I would be out of hours at 0630. Since my drop was at Mclane I was betting I wouldnt even be empty by then. Sure enough I didnt get my paperwork till 0700. They kept me on the load even though I was going to be about 10 hours late for the pickup. Now I already have a preplan for Monday.

I hear ya. Picking up in Casa Grande tomorrow for a four stopper starting in Dallas and ending in Miami. Someone else will be taking it from Dallas as Chad will be finding something to get me home.

Not surprised that Tyson didn't have the load ready til 0200 this morning. 43000lbs of beef going to four different places in the Bay area of California. They did manage to load the trailer correctly for California the first time.

I did find out that JCT was an account with the washout there at Tyson.

Now it's time to find some food here at the Route 66.

I delivered at the Costco in Sumner, WA Wednesday morning and didn't have a preplan so I headed over to the Loves in Tacoma. After a shower I started feeling some chest pains. Interesting. The pain subsided and I took an aspirin. A few minutes later the pain was back and I was getting the idea that it was something serious so I started looking up urgent care centers. The second wave subsided and I punched in a taxi phone number.

Then the third wave hit. "911, what's your emergency?" The chest pain was pretty intense and there was no doubt that I needed help. A short, painful ambulance ride later and I was at Tacoma General. An angiogram showed a couple of coronary arteries were partially blocked causing the angina. All that delicious BBQ, lol. My first pain was around 08:00 and by 13:30 a couple stents were in place and I was completely free of pain.

They held me for a couple of days, but I felt pretty good after the first night. JCT had one of our drivers come out during his home time to move my rig to a secure location, and he and his wife gave me a lift to Sea-Tac where I'm waiting for my (late, of course!) plane home. I'm going to take 10 days off then fly back up here to pick up where I left off.

Lessons learned: Don't ignore chest pain; take 325 mg of aspirin and call 911. Tacoma General is a wonderful hospital! BBQ is delicious, but eat it in moderation. Salads taste better than a nitro-glycerin pill!

I just had the weirdest/creepy moment at the Flying J at exit 255 on I-40 Arizona. I went and had my shower and now I am sitting here in the driver's lounge watching tv/relaxing before getting some sleep. This lady came in and sat down in the chair next to me. A minute later she leans over and takes a deep breath smelling me. She then lets out a low growl and gets up and leaves. I was still shocked at what happened and other drivers have the WTF did I just see look on their faces.
