My .02 from the limited research I did was that a sleep apnea study will be required for anyone with a BMI over 35. Which means that if you are 6' you would have to be over 260lbs and 5'9" would be 235+ in order to even be affected. That means the borderline-obese folks like me aren't going to have to worry about it. Well, not until I pack on another 40 lbs anyway. I don't know what that means for company hiring policies but I would expect them to tread very carefully around this issue.

Talked to my doctor that does DOT physicals now, but is getting out of that business, and she says that along with bmi...your neck has to measure below 17 inches in circumference also.dumbolnd Thanks this.
