The local job I have is great and so are the people I work for been with them a year now however the pay is the lowest I have made in a long time. I have been looking at other local jobs paying more but most of them are at night and involves unloading which i am getting a little too old to be doing that on a regular basis. When i first got my license my first job was working for a company that delivered frozen food for to supermarkets for C&S wholesale. It wore me out between pallets that were poorly wrapped and falling over to receivers with a constant bad attitude. I had any wear from 5 to 7 stops a night and at some of the stores I had to move trailers in order to even get to a dock. Any way enough venting on that history I am still considering going back to Schneider on a dedicated account for a short time (6-12 months) but keeping an eye and ear out for information on the IC Choice program. I would really like to hear from anyone on this program about how they are doing financially along with how much home time they are getting especially if they stay east of the Mississippi since I live in Maryland. Hope to hear from you and you can even PM if you prefer. Thanks and be safe.
IC Choice info please

IC choice as far as I am concerned is probably 1 of the best programs in the industry. Been on Choice little over year and doing good. Getting home is really up to you! Depends on how much money you want to make. Your in a good area for freight so it shouldn't be a problem getting home.
Some times I stay in my area and frequent my house for the night 1 or 2 times a week. Other times I'm gone running for a few weeks and come back and stay at the house a few days. I do keep the truck rolling as much as possible tho to make a decent living and pay for all the truck cost.Drifter42 Thanks this. -
Thanks everyone for the information it's great to have positive input there is enough negativity in other sections of this forum and quite honestly I'm getting tired of reading it there is no perfect job but with positive input from everyone who has " been there and done that " it makes all our lives easier. Thank you.

sb57 what you get here is largely unvarnished truth. we commiserate when needed and laugh a lot. Those threads mentioned dont sugarcoat anything as far as I can tell. Theres a great group of guys here and 1 member has just returned to posting after a hiatus. I'm very glad hes back. All around goo dguy and truthful as well as encourageing . Like just about everyone else here. Except for Moosc. I'll let you be your own judge there!!
TennMan Thanks this. -
