I see it like this. If I don't wait. I don't get no load. I can't scream Yeeee hawww while driving down the road.

many knock the union but after reading this Im glad my contract states bottom line paid at $22.01 hour...
6 Speed Thanks this. -
Good for him on quitting if more did the same we would be getting paid fairly. You are the kind of person who is afraid to stand up for yourself and deserve to be screwed . You have no balls you are sheep that will always follow!!!

Ya if more did the same. We would make even more money and have tons of loads to haul!!! Gotta love Job security!!!!!!!!!!!

Try being a steel hauler sometime! I've waited up to 12 hours for a load. But! I got paid to sleep, too. My current carrier takes detention and layover very seriously. Truck sits, NOBODY makes money. Detention and layover are the best tools in a carriers toolbox to keep trucks and drivers productive, and to retain drivers. GOOD companies know this and utilize it whenever appropriate.

Don't know who said it, but it goes something like this; " If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything ".
And....in the last few weeks I've been "retired", it's to the point I don't dare apply for a new position yet, because with my very good, and difficult sometimes to retain, almost spotless CSA,MVR,PSP ,etc, carriers are wanting me for an immediate start date. Gratifying no doubt, but more importantly, I am absolutely up front about why I left the last job.
Maybe the worm is starting to turn. I dunno. -

Wonder why most men do not understand women! Seems it is you that want to rant and beat a dead horse. -
