    Relaxing at the Microtel here in SLC. The part for my truck is supposed to be here around 11 am. Maybe I'll be out of here around 3. High wind warning in effect until tonight for the entire area here. Sustained at 40 with gusts to 70. Sigh. We'll see how it goes. Still have to find a load from Woodland to the house.

    Those winds up there are bad, they will close the roads to trucks until they subside. Went through that a few times last year.

    Wow, what a day....
    Got to Freightliner a little before 11 and my truck was already fixed and waiting on me! Only cost $309.00, billed through Paccar to my maintenance account, so no out of pocket money today.
    Took off for California a little bit after that. Drove through the worst wind and dust storm I have seen yet. Was so bad that every surface inside my truck got covered in a layer of sand, including the inside of the windows! Once I got through the rain line of the front the temp dropped from 81 to 37 and I drove through snow!!! Then after all that the wind started blowing hard again. Finally called it a day after driving 6 hours. Got about 5 more hours to my D/H tmrw. Then I pick up a loaded trailer in Stockton and head toward home, got a live unload Thursday morning and then some home time, as long as nothing else happens!
    Already got a load booked out of the house for next week that takes me right to South Carolina, nice!
    Time to unwind, take care!

    Sadwar - Welcome to Nevada and the crazy weather we have! If you don't like it then just wait an hour and it will change, if you do like it, again, just wait an hour and it will change. You'll have clear driving tomorrow so you should be just fine. Hubby is leaving for SLC in 2 hours after his reset is done.
