Just gut it out it sucks right now but in time you will have it down once you get to 3 months experience some doors open up and to 6 months more doors will open up and by a year many many doors will open up. It is very tough in the beginning for many drivers that is why they quit so fast this is not an easy job but from the outside it looks so easy. You have guts and that is what you need right now and just take your time. Being in the hole is part of leasing but you are gaining valuable experience from it so get your experience and find a company job. This industry offers everything you just have to know what you want

In Grand Rapids, Mi. at this truck stop off of 131. Pretty cool place got to do laundry and eat a hot meal, the banter between the customers and servers was cracking me up.

Got to get a load that my second delivery is at a correctional institution(yeah), I hope they don't mistake me for a resident there. Honeybadger you want to switch? LOL

Listen up new drivers this job is tough especially in the beginning just stick it out once you get your experience move on you will be shocked at how other companies treat you. Here is a training company only. Yes there are some that have stuck it out here for years but most move on to bigger and better companies. You have to know what you want and look for it there is a company that will fit your needs but just get your experience in right now. My 2 cents.

They told me today that they couldn't get me my bonus today cause the boss wasn't in but should get it tomorrow. Will go home then put in my 2 week notice if I do it now I will get home 5-8-14 instead of 5-6-14 and I have so much to do. Have family visiting and haven't been home since 1-12-14 and yes that is way to long for me, well I had a day and half off in Feb. but still too long with no real home time for me anyway.

    Be safe out there

    HometimeQueen and Waynetp Thank this.

I don't know what happened HTQ. Driver pulled in, parked where he wasn't supposed to be, heard an annoucement for him, then some employees went out to his truck. He was parked right by the window where I was eating at, and when the passenger door was opened, I could see him in his seat, slumped over. When the ambulance finally got there and hauled him out, he was completely limp and non responsive.

I don't want to go out like that, out here. When I go, either make it at home, in bed.... quietly, or shot by a jealous husband (lol), or in a fiery, 1 vehicle crash!!!

May as well, he waited half the day for the truck and been sitting for a few hours waiting to get load info. Guess it's as good a time as any to practice waiting too :p
