Good evening everyone!
Congrats to gamma! How does he like his truck?
Waynetp and krazyhorsechick, you had many prayers last night and I will continue to send you all positive thoughts. I might be a little biased but I think I have the very best of drivers here ....the Cranky One, Panhandle, honeybadger, passport, jaso, kf4omc....I don't brag on them very much, (They would become intolerable, doncha know?!), but they have been so honest and tried to help, support and encourage all of our new drivers. We have all given the same advice just in different ways but I believe passport put it the best yesterday. Make it a routine to plan ahead as much as possible, look ahead and be prepared to change plans if you have to, that way you will have more confidence in what you have to do........and when things change, as they will, it won't be as stressful.
Panhandle, I heard about a driver that was having a heart attack and managed to get off the highway....I don't know if that was the same driver or not. What he did was heroic.....
honeybadger, I saw a book for sale once and always wished that I had bought it ..."How to Train a Man or a Puppy to Behave in Six Weeks".....maybe we could have used it for night dispatchers!![]()

Which truck do most of you think is better T680 or T700 and can you tell me what is the difference between the 2
-
I personally prefer the maneuverability of the T680 to the T700. You still have lots of room in the sleepers of both. I think the storage in the 680 sleeper is better in the 680, but the cab of the 700 has more overhead storage. 680 has a sleeper escape door, but 700 has none. Both are running the same engine, but the 680 is more aerodynamic and I can tell performance-wise. The 700s are going to have more miles on them, but it's hit or miss whether you get a truck of either model that is going to be a hard working easy truck or one that is a shop queen. I know one gal that got a brand new 680 and has spent more time in the shop in the last two months than I have in the last 8 months.
dennisroc and ajacks121712 Thank this. -
well after 3 years 5 months and 10 days Patty finally has her disability approved
so maybe we can get a life together again soon
will still be 2 months they say before we receive any money
the dumbest thing with disability is you have to wait 2 years for the medical part to kick in
well duh the people applying for disability need medical or they wouldn't be applying -
That is fantastic news, Pete! I am so glad they it was finally approved!

Congratulations!

I am incredibly amused how this morning I made a comment about shop queen trucks and guess who is going to Kenworth in the morning?! Still at home and the closest KW is in Mobile. If it's a multi-day ordeal I should be able to get hubby to come get me. Hopefully.
dennisroc Thanks this.
