You did the right thing. We all have our fears. Shutting down with 70 mph winds is the only thing to do.
    Nothing to be ashamed of.
Some days your the bug , other days your the windshield.
Don't get discouraged. That is just how trucking goes.
One day you will recall this day as you help out another new driver.

Heads up for the weekend ....

    Saturday

    Saturday's Thunderstorm Outlook

    • Threat area: Severe thunderstorms are expected to develop along the dryline (a kind of front that differentiates between moist air to the east and dry air to the west) from western Texas northward into Oklahoma, Kansas and central Nebraska. Regions illustrated in red within the inset map (right) should prepare for damaging winds, hail and possible tornadoes. Some tornadoes could be strong (EF2 or higher rating).
    • Cities: Abilene, Texas | Oklahoma City | Wichita, Kan.

    Sunday's Thunderstorm Outlook

    • Threat area: As the surface low pressure system pushes east, more severe thunderstorms will spark up Sunday from central Texas northward into parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas and Missouri. Regions illustrated in red within the inset map (right) should prepare for damaging winds, hail and possible tornadoes. Some tornadoes could be strong (EF2 or higher rating).
    • Cities: Dallas-Fort Worth | Tulsa, Okla. | Kansas City, Mo. | Fort Smith, Ark.
    Monday

    Monday's Thunderstorm Outlook

    • Threat area: The storm system will continue to shift slowly east, pushing the severe threat into areas either side of the middle and lower Mississippi Valleys. Regions illustrated in red within the inset map (right) have the greatest chance of seeing severe storms that could produced damaging wind gusts, large hail and tornadoes.
    • Cities: Jackson, Miss. | St. Louis, Mo. |Memphis, Tenn.
This is a developing situation, and forecast details will become more refined as the calendar moves closer to the weekend. Stay tuned to The Weather Channel and weather.com for continuing updates as we move into the heart of the typical spring tornado season.

lol, not a bad guess since the translation for the elevated trains comes out as "train in the sky".

Clergy is correct, Gold star for HTQ! The 5th is an image of a Thai Monk dressed in a traditional saffron colored robe! Thailand is a heavily Buddhist country. Monks are revered and ride the sky train (and other public transportation) for free.
