    found this metal piece in my oil pan from 2007 freight liner Columbia with Mercedes engine mb4000
    engine runs ok no knocking or vibration there was no shavings in oil filter or any other pieces
    anybody got any idea what is this part of

    looks like valve lifter roller ore PLD pump unit roller. really it is bad news. try to pull PLD Units one by one first. PLD pump works well with bad rolller but damages camshaft

    What's pld pump/ units
    you talking bout the covers on top one by one until I see the damage
    am not very good with engine parts but I need to do something before everything brakes

    dr.side of engine. remove plasitc cover. under cover u see six pumps held with two bolts. Pumps are driven with camshaft. Engine is pushrod design
