I explained how this works above. He's a trainer... he probably gets in 180 running him and his trainees illegal as hell. I dare him to refute that statement.

Nice to see nothing changed out East. For some reason there isn't as much craziness with the western 11. The experience at Knight has always seem to vary terminal to terminal. One thing that doesn't vary is that short length of haul business model and penny pinching pay scale limit a drivers earning potential.Scoots Thanks this.

Oh yeah, some days you'll get 50 miles with 4 stops and an average 3 hour unload time per stop. One time I parked at a receiver and it took them two days to unload me because they forgot I was there and Knight refused to pay layover because I was two minutes late (even though the receiver said I was early by three hours and Knight doesn't know how to schedule their loads). Again, many more "funny stories" on this topic.Last edited: Apr 27, 2014

I'm assuming this is on the dry side right?

I'm on dry side. Had a close friend on the refer side. Not much difference.

I'm set to go back to the reefer side, I was there back in 2010. Left due to a diovorce I went through. Ok thanks for the reply.

Whoa, sorry there bro... no need for hostility... I was out enjoying life for a bit but now back to enjoying the interwebs...
Yes I was dry van. The reefer side hauls to a lot of grocery warehouses so that extra penny or two you make will be quickly eaten by unpaid layovers... I think "The Melted Ice Cream Truck" was my favorite funny story from the reefer guys. When you get to Hannaford up near Syracuse and have nothing to do for three days let me know... I love funny stories. -
Last time I was there I didnt do the Fry's or Albertsons mess lol...had a great dispatcher that I got along with. And it didnt take him to figur out how I like to run. One thing is true couldnt get away from the ice cream runs though. Didnt mind them I use to run east and picked up in Maryland heading west, also in sikeston, Mo then of course in Nevada.

Joliet was always the hole for me. I would either drop there or deliver In the area then be stuck for days. So once I just deadheaded to the Indianapolis yard and called my DM from there. Nobody ever said anything to me about it so I did it every time. The trailer Easter egg hunt always got to me so I started taking refer trailers from the yards rather than driving all over. They never said anything about that either. I'm not sure if they didn't care, or were to stupid to figure it out.
