Not so savvy on Prostars but all DRL circuits are about the same. Go under the hood and pull the DRL relay in the relay panel or even the DRL fuse if it's independent from other circuits. Either way should work. I know the relay is independent and shouldn't interfere with anything else.

DRLs are considered auxiliary lighting and are not held to the same requirements as your other lights but that doesn't mean there is that evil inspector out there that might get you for malfunctioning equipment. Just be aware of that slim possibility of running into the wrong one. I was taught if it's there it has to work. But DRLs are kind of hidden within the headlight. I use to drive dump and the owner had chicken lights down the bed which is also considered auxiliary lighting. Occasionally the loader would bust one. The owner got a ticket for that in the past so every time a laoder would bust one he would get mad and knock the whole light off the truck. They won't get me now he would yell, lol.

there is no DLR relay for a prostar. The body controller uses a air sensor in the brake system when the MV3 is pushed in to kick on the the headlights and turn off the park brake symbol on the dash and as few other things. You would need DLB to change the parameter for the DLR

That's a crock. After reading on it Prostar has a lot of problems with that body controller and it costs $1100. It really doesn't even have separate DRLs. The body controller knocks power down to the low beams to 75% and that's your DRLs.

So like Dutch said is the only solution.

Thanks for help, so basically I have to go to the dealer only and maybe they can make this changes only? If this truck doesn't have fuse or relay for DRL?

Exactly, or you could be on here looking to buy a cfpkg, never mind they found one. Of course you would have to be related to the admin's to pull that off. Hypocrisy, Hmmm?

I disabled the DRL on a '95 KW 600, my '06 9400, and the last two pickup trucks I have owned. Always the same method. Located the fuse or fuses that were tied to the DRL and removed them. The International 9400, the fuse was clearly labeled. I pulled it, and no more DRL. My 2013 Chevy Silverado, they upped the ante and little. Two fuses instead of one, and they were not in the same area of the fuse board. Tried to trick me, but they have to try again the next go around if there is one.

Other than avoiding spooking livestock when driving around a feedlot at night, what's the intent behind disabling the DRLs?
