^ Nose into the wind and let the truck's designed aerodynamics do their job against the wind. Also drop your airbags. Gives the truck a lower center of gravity, less sway. I have done it not just for safety but for comfort.

To nose into the wind also helps to keep the wind from pulling the door out of your hand and being damaged when you open it.

 

It is nice here now but when I went to sleep before we were rocking which puts me to sleep. Have to sit here till the morning so off to get more sleep I go. Not used to sleeping so much unless I am home.

Well, I think the worst is over for tonight at least....so in typical contrary fashion, now that it is safe to be online I am tired and going to call it a night. Because I am a Mom I have super hearing, eyes in the back of my head and know how to ask dozens of nosy questions, I know where all of you are and that you are safe .....except for one. krazyhorsechick, I would feel much better if I knew that you were tucked in somewhere on the west side of these storms.....check in soon.

 

Sysco in Nashville tn doesn't have overnight parking but you can park along the street outside the gate and they will wake you when they start letting trucks in

Well another ruff day. Hit a yellow pole at a flying j today and left a yellow mark on the side of the truck, it came off though. I even called maverick today to see if they would take me so I could get more training with a trainer but since I hit that hydrant in New Jersey they said no. Frustrating I feel stuck now and very unhappy.

 

Hi all 8 made it out of storms yesterday not sure which one I was in all I know is it was raining so hard in Missouri and on towards Michigan that at times im not sure I could really see I stopped once. But went on I made delivery this morning and I have to say I think 75 is like the worst road. Today high winds of corse cause I had an empty trailer. Lol im now at napoleon oh ta waiting to get trailer wash out. Then to bed up early to pick up at Campbells and off to cedar Falls IA. Then to ibp and back to Michigan on the other side of state. I called leasing and asked for help with my in the hole problem and they are calling me back Thursday. Other wise unfortunately I will have to hand in my notice. Whice sucks cause its still hard out here but im starting to get it. And id hate to leave.

 

I do need to drive faster people always yelling at me. In my defense tho I do stay in the right lane. Yesterday I got yelled for having fkashers on in rain

 

I don't have a cb and never will I would hate to hear what people say about me lol. I'm starting to see a lot of these companies really don't like transam. One guy on a beer run yelled at me asking if this load was funny like the rest of the transam drivers that come here.
