my company has our trucks set at 70 I think this is perfect as I have no desire to burn up the highway. but I like the fact that I can get away from packs of trucks I drove for a company that had theirs set at 63 that wasn't even that bad cause I could never catch up to anyone. I think its more stressful the faster you go.

I drive a governed truck because I am just starting out, and it's a pretty good deal. Plus, for me, 60 is plenty fast, as a new driver.

In a year, who knows, but for now, I'll settle in at 60.

I've made it a habit of when i see a trucker going down the interstate like a maniac to get in front of them to regulate their speed FOR them. Driving this fast isnt safe i suspect all that crack cocaine and alcohol has damaged some of these guys brains resulting in them being a road hazard.

    Attempt at a joke, hopefully?

If not, and you're actually doing that, it's a very poor "habit" that you've made for yourself so early in your career. If you're interested in doing traffic control, you need to go be a cop - not a professional driver.

So how fast do you consider the driver to be a maniac?

At the speed I determine is unsafe for the road and surrounding environment.

So, with less than 1 year of experience, you KNOW how to determine everyone else's safe speed?

You won't last long in this industry pulling that BS.

maybe you havn't been but tell that to the prime driver and the cr england driver that were rear ended in utah last summer speed limit 80 mph and they were poking along. Speed differential causes accidents. And no it's not ooida kool aid it's a well proven fact!
