Return to ACT (American Central Transport)

I emptied out in Moleen.. on my way I received a phone call from ACT. .

First words out were. ."there's no freight"..ok? I have a few loads for you to choose but they don't deliver until after Monday. (I almost laughed. . Thought there wasn't any freight).. You want to goto Texas or KC?

Let's goto Texas. . (I know there's no freight in KC. All our trucks are full and the orientation classes are getting it all) .. Ok I have a 3 drop JCpenny load (2 in kc 1 Dallas).. No, those are to stores. Been there done that. Mall parking lots blow.

I have 2 Petsmart loads. . One with 2 drops in Dallas. . One with 5 in Ft Worth. I took the 5 drop (extra $250 for backing up 5 Times. )

Back to Moleen.. NO empty trailer. .ugh! And I can't bobtail into pet smart. . Whoever was Saturday weekend dispatch? Let's just say they probably won't last long at ACT. . Told me I would have to wait until Monday AFTERNOON to get the empty in Moleen.

John came in Sunday morning and sent me to Dekalb for an empty. (75 extra empty miles/I need to talk to Mark about getting those paid)

My trailer is supposed to be ready around 1830. I'm at the hook in La Salle.. I'm gonna try and drive thru the night (I'm old and spoiled. . Night is hard to do anymore) I bought a corvette, I need to stop and write a check in KC.

Money money money.

 

Yep..I bought a corvette. . Lmao. . Probably be like the jeep I bought and sold years ago. . Always wanted one till I drove one. .

Should be a fun toy for the summer then I'll park it. .I have my Chevy 4x4 In the shop right now getting a new transmission. . Now I can take my Harley Davidson edition F-150 back to my garage. .

Anyway, sounds like I'm bragging..I guess I am a little bit. . But this is ALL made possible here. .I couldn't afford these things before ACT. . So I have to say a little dedication and ACT makes it possible. .

I need a hot red head in a short skirt to ride around with me and make the car look good

Anybody listen to the conference call? Darn beeping was annoying! I guess we're getting a 3 cpm raise. . (Contractors) And company a 1 cpm.. (doesn't seem like much to me, but I guess it adds up? )
