On my 87, which I'm looking at right now, my idiot lights make a perfect cross. 5 lights total. 12 o'clock is diff lock, 3 is water, 6 is air, directly under 6 is susp disc, and 9 o'clock is oil.

Hi Jake, Yes, I've seen variations in what is what as far as warning lights. One thing that seems standard, is oil and water lights appear to coincide with the oil and water temp. gauges. You must have one of the last 359's, didn't they stop making them in '87?
Hi rank, what year is your Pete? These are getting pretty hard to find nowadays. If I drove again, I'd love to drive a 359. I had a '85 359 day cab with round dash that I was going to make a motorhome out of. I saw a guy in Fla. (from Mauston, Wis.) that put a small camper on the back, and it looked really cool. Lost interest, among other things, and sold it to a local towing outfit a few years back. Keep the old iron rolling, when trucks were trucks!!!!!
She is an '86. Wish it was an '85 then I wouldn't need to E-test it.

EDIT: Pics in post #52, page 6.

How about that. My '86 doesn't have the 5th light.

Hey RnR81, do you remember that awful crash in front of Sun Prairie Driving School before it was 4 lane? I think it was a Marten driver on his maiden run, and was looking at the school, and someone was stopped waiting to turn left and plowed into them. It was about the time they were using those cabovers. I think that was one of the reasons they made it 4 lane there.

My 84 Pete 359 has the white cat 400hp-63" flat top sleeper. All restored like it rolled off the assembly line with a Seminole paint scheme. Its retired and living the good life. Doesn't need its 3:90 gears. Never realized Cat had a white motor till I got it.
