R.E.West based in Lebanon has a heavy haul division. They have their own CDL school also. I think their heavy haul freight is out of Livingston, TN
Jordan Carriers is flatbed and has a heavy haul division. They have been hiring a few new CDL grads lately.

With Boyd you do have some equipment you a required to buy and you do pay a deposit on the truck ($20 a wk) but they have been awesome to us. My bf couldn't be happier with them.

If I'm not mistaken WTI is all lease or o/o. They are a sister company of Boyd.

I've been in touch with Andrew from TMC as well. Going to Sage in Indianapolis, just finished week 1 of 4. Have spent about an hour on the phone over two calls with Andrew. The fact that he actually was a driver, then a trainer helps. He gave me the pitch, of course, and a lot more info. I was personally looking at TMC and Maverick (I live in St. Louis, so I split the difference as far as travel time N or S from Home Terminal. Staying with family in Indy for training.) A Maverick recruiter came in and talked to us a few days ago. Like their company, but I think I can go farther and do more with TMC. I also like their percentage pay option. I could be running my buns off at 5 loads a week (example, probably not gonna happen as a rookie) and still only be making .33 CPM for first 3 months. OR run hard, get the 5 loads in off of percentage, and make more. Percentage just seems to be better, however can be a curse and a blessing for new guys. I want to eventually get into Specialized or Oversize. TMC seems to have more accounts available than Maverick, but this is a year or more out career wise. From what I hear, until you find your groove, it's hard. I take pride in being a hard worker and a quick learner. I know everyone says that about themselves, but I can actually deliver on it. Already have a pre hire from TMC as of Thursday 5/1 (applied Tuesday) and I hear they only accept who they think will be the best, so that's a big confidence booster for me. Plus, their trucks are a lot nicer than the average fleet. If I'm gonna be living and driving in a 6x6 space for 2 weeks or more at a time, I want it to have some perks instead of just here's the seat, there's the wheel, Go. Sure, 62 MPH sucks, but as a rookie, that's as fast as I really wanna go anyway until I fine tune my shifting and driving. I wish you (and anyone else) luck in your career. Go with what works best for you, home time, pay options, benefits, etc. (quoting, of course.) TMC seems to be the better fit for me, and I hope to prove myself to them and become part of the TMC family.
