I have a 5EK in a FLD with a 9 spd tranny and 3.40 rears! I put a ECM out of a 1LW on it that came out of a FLD with a 10 spd od tranny and 3.91 rears!
No in my area has the capabilities to change the programming! Question is! What would be the downside of driving it like this until I can get somewhere to have it programmed? Truck appears to run ok! Only thing I've noticed different is that the RPMS vs Speed is different! Thanks!

You can pull speedo an adj. the back of it to corr. road/speed, it should work fine.

I appreciate the reply! Other than the speedo being off will it be ok to drive it as it is with out fear of something getting messedup? Thank again! Will the fuel mieage suffer greatly?

If its not throwing codes and no smoke out ex. seems OK.

Not a huge deal. Miles are are not logging accurately in the ECM or speedo, but that's nothing of importance to you. If it's revving out fine in all the gears, then progressive shifting isn't set up, you'll be fine. Just watch your speed, since you're speedo will not be right until you get it changed.
