If I had a cross country load that would be there for a couple days, sure. But for most, bungee rope works the best and can be altered at any time for any load.
Trying something new with my bungies.

WD-40 is still a no no, Hence the name "Water Displacement, 40th formula," No secret , WD-40 still is water based and speeds up corrosion. Yeah a great quick lube, but really shortens life span with anything related cold climates and salts. Mystery oil would be great for OP's tool.

What was wrong with WD39?
-
Nothing, it just doesn't sound as nice as WD-40.
-
Must have went the way of preparation G.

Good point on the WD-40. Landscaper/snow plower buddy turned me onto a product called "Fluid Film" He coats his salter frames and spreaders with it, and has seen pretty good results keeping the rust/corrosion at bay.

I would think that water displacement would mean its displaces water , thus eliminating water.
since you say its water based, I guess it gets rid of itself. kind of seems pointless.pigeon river trucking and MJ1657 Thank this. -
