I never have been able to get a rate out of that bunch. They're just one of those. Maybe one day.

If that's chatty, I don't know what to think LOL. 6 posts in 3 yrs and half of them here. Don't hold back, man.

Don't take it the wrong way (your 2nd follow up hardly fit this next remark), but one of my pet peeves is people that ask advice, then second guess what they get. Not that they're unclear about the input, but really criticizing it. I see your point tho. When I see some feedback that seems a little extreme, I'll ask qualifying questions too. If the follow up is at least as irrational sounding as the first, I just dismiss it and move on to others.

Now THAT is a hijack, a second discussion topic within a thread that has nothing to do with the OP!

I had a similar situation to Red's but with a different carrier. Luckily, they did give me SOMETHING for the aggravation and additional half day. However, that broker advised me that depending on how the deliveries came off, the last stop MAY be moved to the next evening. I already was short on hours and had anticipated taking three days for the load, rather than 2. I also figured that with the rate. And they agreed that if the first drop didn't go lightning fast, that the second and third drops would be moved to the next day. If so, I was compensated for it (not much, but it was something). However, the last two stops were about 30 miles from eachother. Stop 3 agreed to take their product first, and pull and reload stop 2 if I wanted to go there first. They charged a higher lumper fee, but the broker paid it. So, stop 2 was only a few hours later, and I got to be unloaded in 2.5 days instead of 3 full days. All for an additional 30 miles at my personal choice, but it opened up my reefer early so I could run over, shut down, and get a produce load in the morning instead of spending the morning getting empty.

As for USX, I stopped in to read, because I get emails from them from time to time about loads. Never hauled for them. Their offers always seem cheap for most things. A whole lot of dry loads that don't pay enough for me to dial my phone.

It’s ok, thereloads are a bit heavy side on the other hand, you can get light loads too.
I did pickup load from them it was around 35,000 ponds, she was nice, worked with me all the way and paid well too.[IMG]

I know what are you saying, I ran into that kind ofsituation.
At one time I had to drive 3 hours to pick up the loadand I did .Why, because I was in a place where no loads at all. But you knowwhat we all learn from it and get better at it.
