I have thought of trying to get someone to do that, Gordon .... shoot, I have thought about printing up business cards and letting everyone hand them out to other TransAm drivers. Anything to get the word out so that they realize there is a little bit of help available for them, that we have all been there at one point or another, and everyone needs validation, support and encouragement.

I know ....I think since Panhandle has the tie breaking vote he is trying to impress him. I think gamma is on a quest to find the perfect chicken fried steak!
-
Now Pete ....I meant hand them out when you ran into a TA driver at a shipper or receiver or waiting for the cows to die! I was not having a blonde moment!

I always Google my shippers and recivers. I try and see where the guard shack is and the lay out of the other roads around the area. Will even do street view to see what the signs say.

I love being home. Still very tired was out way too long. Wife moved everything around will have to wait for her to go to work and move everything back to where it belongs. LOL May or may not be a good idea have to sleep on it for a couple of days and see how I feel.

I was with TA for almost 3 years. Knowing just how bad my training was and having to learn everything on my own, I always, always tried to help a fellow TA driver out. Yes, the company sucked but, that wasn't the drivers fault. I spent many of my off duty hrs trying to help out.
Gordon A., at one time, when TA had the qualcomm system, there was a form in there, that the driver could pull up and get directions for drivers, that were by drivers. Guess that went away with the blue tree.
Remember that TA is self insured. They have made a business decision, that includes very high turn over for drivers, and has turned leasing into a money making profit center. I believe that is where most of their profit is now coming from. They did NOT push leasing, anywhere near as bad, when I was there as they do now.
Anybody that has 2 years experience, my company is down 6 drivers. Sure would like to see those slots filled so that I can slow down a little!!! lolHometimeQueen Thanks this.
