Hmm... ad says about $1100 wk. Lets do the math. $20 per day X 7 days per wk = yup...comes out to $1100 all right!!!

 

The kid was driving, and was drunk. The shirtless wonder was the trainer, also drunk. He was attempting to get under the trailer we think.
To be honest, USA Truck is no different than any of the mega training fleets. Cheap bodies to fill cheaper trucks. They dont really care what happens, which is why they have rookies training rookies. For what they pay, the profits must make sense, otherwise they would raise the bar.
I have been seeing quite a few CRE idiots around lately. The last one (claiming he was an "owner operator when he was a flease operator) claimed that oversize loads should give way to normal trailers when turning. Two lanes turning to the left at the light, and Mr ###### takes the left lane instead of the right (outside) turning lane, then whines when I keep driving...Guess he didn't want to scratch up that shiny flease Crapcadia after all, as he had a change of heart pretty quick when he saw the tracks on the excavator heading his way.

The intermodal fleet used to be good out of Mira Loma California. Had a former student get into it about 2-3 years ago and was grossing about $1200 a week. Well after awhile CRE flooded that fleet with new drivers and there was a surplus of them so pay dropped to about $600 a week gross.

 

Ya when I did a lease with England they had me brainwashed that I was an O/O even though I was forced dispatched, couldn't pick my freight, got paid $0.90 a mile, and so many other things. Now that I am with Landstar I can really see how bad CRE was taking advantage of me. I bought my truck and the end of the lease and according to my math paid about $270,000 for it.

 

HOLY #### thats over .25 million dollars!!! Unbelievable!!! There used to be a word for that kind of business back in the day it was called RACKETEERING and it was illegal. The likes of Al Capone would be proud of these guys. :\

 

That's why a lot of us former CRE employees refer to them as the Mormon Mafia.

 

I have yet to see ANY flease deal worth anything. They are 110% aimed at people who have no idea about the industry, and they take advantage of them accordingly. "Independent Pro" stickers crack me up.
