This is a before and after of my ol girl. Seems I was the only one proud of it the day it came home. They were gonna make a quad axle dump out of it I couldn't go for that. She toted me too
many miles. I was the relief driver for the original owner a long time. 400 CAT, double over 13 and 3.55 is how she came. The engine is a hybrid between new and old now and an 18 with a 1750 spicer 4 speed behind it I just wouldn't give up double over

Beautiful Jake, love the turbo wing, don't see many of those anymore. How do you get that seagull to sit on your grill like that? (kidding, that's the biggest hood ornament I've ever seen, let me guess, TEXAS.

Hey wore out, looks great, my '85 (post #13) looked like that( 1st pic) when I 1st got it. I always liked those small air cleaner bonnets, but are extremely hard to find nowadays. I had a friend with a 379 that looked exactly like your 359, 'cept, he had 4 air horns on the roof. I too, was the only one proud of my '85 when I got it. My ex-girlfriend thought I was nuts, but got it looking half way decent on a limited budget. Yep, quad axle would have been the kiss of death, you saved it!!!

Haha ya I just noticed that. I just have a regular swan. That's a street lamp in the background I guess. Appreciate the flowers.
Hey RnR81, do you remember that awful crash in front of Sun Prairie Driving School before it was 4 lane? I think it was a Marten driver on his maiden run, and was looking at the school, and someone was stopped waiting to turn left and plowed into them. It was about the time they were using those cabovers. I think that was one of the reasons they made it 4 lane there.
When was that crash, I remember something with a truck making a left hand turn when I was there in school, that was in Aug. of '78

I'm still trying to find out more on the White Block, some say that was a marine engine some say that it was a " Paccar " or " Pete " thing back in the day, all I know that that was the best pulling motor I ever drove, going out east in Pa. with 81 to 84,000 did little to slow that truck down, it took the Rockies grossing at 79,000 plus to slow it down to 40-45 climbing those hills, and the fuel mileage was not bad. I was talking to a old time mechanic back in the day who was looking at it and said that was one hell of a motor, he said if properly tuned you would beat any 425 ATA cat motor back then, i'm thinkn' really? that motor was doing one hell of a job already....

Hey rnr81, not sure when that was, had to be late '70's early '80's. Here's some info on the white Cat motors. http://www.timstrucks.com/PB3.html

I have the yellow CAT filters so people know its a Cat. They must have thought it wasn't going to leak oil on that white motor.
