OK, day one of SQT is in the history books. My dumb butt managed to pass everything with flying colors. Soft skills tomorrow and I should be ready for dispatch around lunch time. I will bring the truck home tomorrow afternoon and get all my crap in it for Friday morning.
I can honestly say that I am impressed with the level of competence from nearly all the trainers I have worked with so far with only one exception. In an organizations of this size that is really saying something.
It was a good day.

Fixing to start my final day of SQT. I am seriously ready to get to work and earn some money!
-
Do you Tanker ICs get to pull van loads if you want to? Seems like Schneider could gain an advantage over the other tanker companies if they offered access to the van freight to you guys if a tanker load isn't available without deadheading.
-
We are strictly tank. IC on the tank side get paid Milage plus FSC on every mile loaded and empty. The flip side of that is we have a conventional style of dispatch. That may change early next year.

SQT is done, the truck is in the driveway! I will spend tomorrow outfitting it and ready to roll Monday.

More pics once you get her loaded are required.

Congrats! -
do they call you and give you choices of loads or they just say here take this
-
I would guess it's regular dispatch since he's on mileage. Only choice board get to pick loads.
-
I will find out today when I receive my load for Monday.
