Thank you all for this thread. I find it very interesting. I'm looking for another company to go with possibly as a L/P and ACT just may be the one. Do y'all run 48 or is it strictly midwest and southeast. This is almost a deal breaker for me as I'm looking to go 48 again. Sounds like y'all doing good with the L/P tho.

Well I'm heading out tomorrow evening for ACT. Hopefully it works out better than central ref did for me
-
Also, are all their trucks single drive axle ?
-
It's only Midwest and south central/South east. As far as the trucks, most are twin screw... had some single but only a few left as they sold them.carolinacowboy72 Thanks this.

Tony. You'll do fine here. I'm really enjoying this company.
-
I hope so. I'm coming in as a lease op on a by the mile lease according to Marsha. Still reading all the details.

I was in the same boat as many drivers. .
I had tried the LP at other companies and lost my tail. . Most are not set up in a way that allows the driver to pay for the truck and still make a livable wage. ACT figured out a way for drivers to buy a truck while supporting their families.
I promise that your not gonna get rich but if you can live on an average of $1, 200 a week. . Have enough self control to save some money. . Not demand to be home every weekend and have a decent attitude. . ACT is an easy life.
I've been watching the truck numbers lately and talking with drivers in the 4100 And 4200 number trucks. . They all can see the light at the end of the tunnel and are excited about paying the trucks off. . THAT'S when the real money starts!
And as for you Bill..
Now I can't look at a red headed woman without thinking it's a driver in drag. . Thanks! And stay away from my car mister!kkiesznowski Thanks this. -
Bahahaha!!!!! Lmao!!!! But I wanna go for a ride. . Please lol.

Tony. It sounds like you'll be doing the 8000 series lease, while the payoff at the end is extremely high , you could always turn it in at the end of the lease and start a new 4000 series lease where your payout would be much cheaper. Meaning this, if for some reason you fail on your 4000 lease your going to lose all the money that you put into your maintenance fund. They will use all of the money to get the truck ready for the next guy. Now they're Still going to do that with the 8000 series but with your payoff being so high your basically just renting the truck. I think to start the 8000 series is a little better if you're not to sure. Or can always come in as a company driver and run your truck as a LP and see if making the jump is the best idea. Once youryou're a lease driver they won't let you become a company guy. But company can become a LP.
BTW it's early and I'm tired. Hope this made a little sense.
Jaguar is a great guy to go to for information.Jaguar115 Thanks this.
