Any forum with their name in it will be helpful. People usually always chime in with experiences and such. Don't listen to all the negatives, but be mindful. A lot of those are guys who couldn't cut it and either got fired, or gave up. Maverick is a decent company from what I hear, automatic freightliners, and I know the owner and the owner of tmc go way back. Good place to get some experience is what I hear.

When a OTR company says they will get you home on weeks ends, read the wording again, NO company that does OTR can guarantee you home every week end. . A few dispatchers will TRY and that is a stretch to but there are far too many variables to guarantee it. Don't count on it. Either that or your working for nearly nothing. It is too expensive to run drivers home MTY or even with a load by the house every week end.
If you need to be home nearly every weekend your in the wrong business. Just saying. That statement is made as one of the carrots dangled in front of a new driver. In reality is isn't going to happen.
Non OTR or local , and sometimes regional. Yes you might get home during the week or weekends but Doo Doo happens now and again even in those runs.
Here is how many companies work this weekend at home gimmick.
If you get home prior to midnight. Say 10:30 pm Sat and you have to leave Sunday to deliver that was your week end. You were home Sat and Sunday. In trucking it is not 48 hours is a weekend. Seldom is it 48 hours. There are exceptions but not often .
Remember that the customer and the companies bottom line come FIRST. -
Got it . Thanks
