Personally, if I were driving a truck, I would be doing the absolute best of my ability to drive both safely and legally. That being said, that is POSITIVELY ONE HELL A SERIOUS RESPONSIBILITY.

As far as the other truck drivers on the road were concerned, that would be the responsibility of law enforcement, D.O.T., and the safety departments of individual trucking companies to insure that the other truck drivers are driving both safely and legally.

The absolute best of luck to everybody, may God be with all of you!

I wonder how long the cam facing the driver will be opt-in. I don't mind a camera, id rather put on in myself but, this won't be too bad. I like how it will nail someone that backs into your truck wile your inside taking a shower.

This is just my personal opinion, If don't like it (Haters gonna hate) I don't really care.
An aircraft has "black box " voice and data recorders, and as I understand it in ####pit cameras too, CMVs hauling up to and beyond 80,000 lbs of sometimes hazmat cargo should too. I mean there are some passenger aircraft that are lighter than our trucks.

put it into perspective ... If your own mother was driving her car and was plowed into by a truckdriver, wouldn't you be interested to know if the driver was busy checking up on his/her farcebook status, or texting a special lover.

We've had them on city buses for years. They become your best friend quickly. They will save your butt when nothing else will. If drivers weren't on their phones, cams wouldn't be in cabs. If that's you, please... turn in your notice. Do us all a favor.

Is it me, or does it seem like most of those that are embracing the Big Brother mentality have little or no real time in the industry? Gotta love those that bow down to their masters.
