LadyK, I really respect you and Klingon and I'm proud of how hard you work. But it's time you think about being a little more selfish when it comes to your load locks.
Here's how many of us handle it:
If you put your load locks in a Central trailer, they are YOUR load locks. If you drop at a reciever, then check in at the guard shack, drop your trailer, break the seal and get your load locks out of there.
You pulled into the reciever with a sealed trailer (the guard even signed the log). Once you drop your trailer your job is done. Grab your load locks and move on the the next job.
Notice that I don't mean dropping a trailer in a drop yard, where it now becomes a problem for another driver. I mean dropping at a reciever like Nestle or Albertsons.Lady K Thanks this. -
When we drop it's at off times, so no-one there to get other load locks from. Also we don't feel comfortable breaking the seals, IF anything was wrong with the load, we would eat it...
On a side note though... We won't have to worry about them soon enough
Arkansas Frost, Buckeye91 and Bumper Thank this. -
so what company did you narrow it down to?

I have made it thru a whole year of trucking. Boy has it been a ride.

question. if they call you for a random drug test and im off duty/sleeper berth, doesnt that mean they gotta wait until I hit line 4 and go on duty for me to actually take the test? Just want to confirm that. especially if they call you in like your 5th hour of the 10 hour break.

I often think about you ladies and gentleman every time I see a Central truck since leaving after Swiffer took control. Been running a lot around the Bethlehem, Pa area seeing some Central trucks.
It has been such a stark difference going from a mega carrier to a 10 truck company running local with no qualcom nagging me at every turn. Do my thing, park the truck and go home.
Hope you are all doing well, be safe.Lady K Thanks this. -
IDIC Enterprises, LLC ... Well it's in the works anyways
