    Hey all, Im considering removing the catalytic converter to help the truck breathe. Has anyone done this? I'd like real world results instead of just opinions. I put on a Pitt. Power free flow exhaust so far. This is on an 06 C15.

    No it is seperate upstream right before the bend to the rear of the cab. I just dont want to mess anything up by taking it off, was hoping to hear from someone who has done it.

    I have an NXS, it isnt really any louder. There is slightly less turbo lag, which on mine is terrible. No fuel mileage difference.

    Well this thread could have a short life due to the topic so hopefully you see it. Remove the catalytic converter it's restrictive. That should be mandatory first step with all MBN's and ACERT's. Earlier CAT engines did not have them.

    There are no sensors on those converters. Only their dpf engines have sensors.
