I do not...I saw in your profile it said "Trucker?: 8 Years"...might not hurt to give them a call...ya never know...best of luck.

Fraley and Schilling wouldn't be a bad choice either...small well run company outta Rushville, IN.

Boyd and sons pays upto .41 for all dispatched miles.

TMC pays around .49. Boyd and sones does NOT pay more then the rest.

    Boyd, not Boyd and Sons.

That comment about Boyd paying more is based on mileage pay. Wasn't sure what TMCs % pay would be.

Boyd said they would start me out at .40. Maverick says .33 and TMC I think was .35. I am considering what you said about TMC paying around .48 or .49 on the % side.

% starts at 27% on up to 32%

    http://www.tmctrans.com/drive-for-tmc/why-tmc/pay.aspx

remember that's only on loaded miles

national average for flatbed is $2.35 per miles

    http://www.dat.com/Resources/Trendlines/National-Flatbed-rates.aspx

    do the math

either way I'd do percentage no matter what, that way you don't have to worry about getting screwed on short runs because short runs pay more per mile to the company than longer ones.

however I don't know if TMC is honest with what each load pays them

either way no way I'd accept being paid under 40CPM doing flatbed.
You can make 40+ just doing van

On TMC loads, you should be able to get up to and maintain 28% driving solo. On their average laod this comes out to .48 cents. It will varry a little based on where you live and if you do their longer haul fregiht, but either way its higher then maverick or boyd. TMC per mile pay sucks which is why almost everyone at tmc is on % pay. Now, the average of .48 im quoting, is for all driven miles. Not just loaded miles.

You cant make .40+ on all miles (empty and loaded) right out of CDL school unless you sign with a really horible company.

TMC does pay you honest numbers. Truth is, since your not paying for the fuel and tolls, that amount is taken off the top. A load that pays a 1000 might have a 350 dollar fuel surcharge and a 50 dollar toll surcharge. TMC give you your % of 600, not the full 1000. This is reasonable since your not paying the fuel or tolls. That being said, you still will make way over .40 with tmc on % pay.

the 2.35 number you quoted above includes, FSC, tolls, and any other extra fees. at 28% that comes out to .66/mile. You wont make .66 per mile. Also TMC freght pays above average. .48 for all miles is a reasonable number to use when comparing tmc to to others.

right out of school, yeah not possible.
6+ months experience its certainly possible for 40CPM+

I believe all flatbed companies should pay percentage.
Van drivers don't need to worry about tarps, securing and checking the load in route.
The labor involved is always different depending on the load and you should be paid more for your more work.
