For one.... You can't back into an I-A parking spot to use it and it's dangerous to back out when you can't see anybody coming down the row's, especially those who drive through the parking lot's like they are in the Indy 500. The only place it was said Swift truck's could get popped for "speeding".:biggrin_2559:

Two. From what I've seen so far, they put these #### thing's at the front door so those who don't want the service end up stuck way out in the back of the lot. I say do away with it. Not even half of the driver's in this country are gonna bother to use it so why waste the space?:biggrin_25512:

Well it's not like people can't walk to get somewhere. I mean park in the back and walk. I do! If I am using idleaire it drives me nuts when the lazy people beside me leave there truck running. I agree don't park there in the first place if ya aren't going to use it. Let a paying customer use it. I bet you wouldn't be happy if someone pulled in your driveway to sleep. You would tell them to move and they would say aw, man I'm too tired. I'll just stay here!

thats a joke right?? Are we so lazy we cant WALK to the building? What do you propose we do? Do we need a valet parking service so some of you dont have to move your fat assses across a parking lot? Have we become that lazy???????

Idle near the front is nothing to me...hell if they are PAYING to park there why shoudnt they be?

And not wanting to move im out of hours? Thats a load of bull. Id respect him more if he said im to lazy and dont want to.

The company I work for pays for it. So if I am at a truck stop that has it I will go ahead and hook it up. I sleep better with the truck off anyway. Now if I had to pay for it myself I probably wouldn't use it.

Add to the fact the geniuses block half or more of the spots off with cones. Like ABQ NM at the TA. Most of the time they have about half the spots coned off. When I roll in if I need a spot and there is nothing else convenient I move a cone. I've noticed a lot of drivers doing that more and more.

How do they expect to make revenue if the service isn't being used.

    I hope they go under.

All you guys whining about non-IA folks taking the IA spots: In case you didn't get the memo, there's just a little bit of a parking shortage for big trucks in this country. Go take a look at the Pilot in Madera(exit 159 off the 99). There's about ten non-IA spots and about 42.7 billion IA spots. :biggrin_25516: If these truck stops convert 7/8ths of their parking to IA, what are the rest of us supposed to do? Are you actually recommending that we be held hostage to IdleAire? "Pay up or park on the shoulder, sucker!" I think not. :biggrin_25512:

I have a cell phone, broadband for my laptop, and everything I care about TV(cable or otherwise) could fit up a flea's butt with room left over for a Greyhound bus. The only reason I can see to even consider IA is the climate control, and even then, I hesitate to buy into it. My current company has finally decided to provide it, but I'm already looking at another outfit that runs APU's on their trucks, so it won't be an issue.

My opinion of IdleAire ends with "...and the horse they rode in on." They can't go away soon enough.

brick...they cone some of the spots off to keep some convienent ones for users...just get on ch 3 and tell them to move it, they will

alot of the time when im parked in a idleair spot, i have the thing hooked to the truck but not on, my laptop does not use much juice, and i do not use the heat/cool unless i deem it nessacry....like nighttime or winter/summer

at the rate i pay it is alot cheaper than idleing in my opionon

as to the parking lots....they really need to expand them, or better yet have idleair put in thier own lots and not lose any parking

that and fire the guys who do nothing

IdleAire never stood a chance because it doesn't offer anything a driver doesn't already have.

For instance, why pay for heat and air, I have a generator. Television? C'mon, I have Direct TV. Internet? Nope, I got a laptop and cellphone.

Oh, and I can use my generator, satellite TV, laptop, and cellphone anywhere I happen to be parked. I don't need to be in a special location.

Bye bye IdleAire, I was rooting for your failure. Now open up those parking spots!

Excuse et muah! For your info there BUD, I'm FAR from being a fat ### so you need to refigure where the hell you got that from at only 180 pounds at 6 feet tall. How do you consider me a fat ###? And no, I'm not lazy. Infact I get out and make round's around the parking for the excercise durning spare time and up to the building to use the restroom instead of taking a leak in the parking lot like a lot do which smell's horrid in the summer time. I didn't say thing about HAVING to have a front row spot, I'm saying it would be NICE to get one every once in a while instead of having no choice but be stuck way the hell off in the back forty.

So why not split it in half? IA down one side of the parking lot and reguler parking down the other that way it's fair for everyone. You make it sound like it's paid parking. If you don't pay you can't park. Except in the case if your not paying for IA then you HAVE to park your sorry "tight wade" ### way out in the back regardless of the shape your in. Some people are handicap. Some people are in bad physical shape and it's hard for them to walk a long distance and it's not their fault they are in the shape that they are in. Some are. So seeing from your half ####ed smart ### reply you seem to get in trouble here a lot with 3 infraction's on top of each other. Your military or ex military? I guess they didn't teach you a #### thing about respect because you obviously don't have any for someone to voice their opinion.
