What about John Christner? I think they are similar in pay rate. I think their average length of haul is about 1200 miles.

Have you read any of the jct post on here... pretty sad. I've talked to a few of their drivers as I looked into them before Act and glad I didn't make that mistake.
-
Didnt Bob Castellini owner of the REDS buy RWI . I know his company drivers do very well .

I loaded in Defiance OH. . At John Manville..
I FINALLY got to drag a "newer" trailer. . I've been pulling 13 series trailers (ugh)..I thought, yes!.. I've loaded at Manville in Defiance several times and its always a quick live load. .
When I wrote the information down the address didn't sound familiar. . Sure enough I looked at my history and its a different address. . So I called just to verify it..
Yep, Your load is here and the trailer is loaded. .huh? Yes, it's a drop/hook..ugh!
I got there and gave trailer #2181 up and took 2001..
Ok not that old. . But not new.
I'm in Memphis at the Loves..I had the truck washed while enroute and had no more than set my brakes when a lady approached the truck. . She was walking a dog. . I thought, No freakin way is she going to solicit me with a dog. Lmao, she was looking for work for her husband polishing wheels.
First I said no ($30).. he said they were hungry and really needed work. . Would do them all for $20..ok, do it. They were nice people (Not the regular riff raff that's usually here)..I paid him $40.. He was a little shocked.
Things have been good lately and its nice to have the ability to help people in need. Karma
johnn5272000 and kkiesznowski Thank this. -
Yeah I'm not impressed with what I see on here about JCT
-
Just in case you are confused this is an ACT thread. There is very little if any info on JCT on here.
-
I realize that. I guess I should have worded that differently. I'm not impressed with what I've been reading on the forums about JCT
-
I read what you wrote and "thought" You meant on TTR..
Honestly, I don't know why anyone would want to pull a reefer.. I've done it. . It's where I started. .
Middle of the night deliveries. . Dealing with grocery warehouses. . Paying lumpers thoroughly P me off! And always loaded to the gills.
I've heard the argument. . People will always need to eat. . Granted. . But I've never had a problem feeding my family and others. . Pulling a dry van.kkiesznowski and Lone Ranger 13 Thank this. -
I def agree with you on the middle of night deliveries. They def do suck and yes hours n hours getting loaded and unloaded are a drawback. Company I'm driving for does probably 50/50 reefer and dry loads so it evens out ok for me

I delivered in University Park IL and got a load picking up in Mt Sterling and delivering in Ardmore OK..230 empty miles and 646 loaded.
I stopped by the yard for my 30 min break and to run the truck thru the wash. .stupid bugs! (And a bird) I noticed the empty trucks starting to line the fence again. .I also noticed a lot of brand new 680's being inspected in the shop. I guess the 8000 series lease is popular.
Anybody else think the qual com is very annoying lately? Can't read them going down the road forces ya to find a safe place to pull over. . Then is some bs msg about phones etc.. get rolling And it CHIRPS again! A message correcting the previous message! UGH! And you have to check it. . If it's a load offering and you wait to long. . They take it away. (Well Mark always calls but I've had other drivers say they've lost loads)
Ok..I can breathe again. .
Be safe. . Already seeing a lot of boats and rv's out for the long weekend.stormy379 Thanks this.
