    My reasoning is that the companies that require 3 months almost certainly have to be better than swift. I want to be at swift for only as long as i need them.

    for example i am a new swift employee. I live in southern california. My home terminal is only 40 miles from me, but they are headquartered out of Utah.

    Not quite true. When I had 6 months experience, I talked to Crete and they offered .40/mi which was considerably more than I was making at the time.
