Actually I was meaning Charlotte Area Transit System as a bus driver but I don't know starting out the money would be half of what I'm currently making. I know that I'm going to stay here until the end of this year unless a better opportunity comes along

 

I GOT A 3 CENT RAISE!!! Now I'm making 40 cpm. Just got a house and am so ready to move. Right now I'm on a load that I picked up in McKinney, TX and it has 6 drops to get me back to Charlotte for my hometime. I have 2 drops left in Raleigh and Greensboro then I'm going home.

This week was just a terrible week all together. Monday I got stuck in the snow in Iowa and had to call a tow to get me back on the road. My pickup for Monday night didn't load me until Tuesday morning which had a Wednesday morning appointment that got pushed back until Thursday night. Then I had an appointment for 4pm Friday at Husqvarna in Summerville, SC which they held me over to Saturday 3pm and they stopped loading all trucks telling us to leave. Terrible miles and plenty of frustration on my birthday week (April 15th). Once I left Husqvarna I just came home for some additional time home and looking to refresh for a better next week PLEASE.

I thought April was a bad month but it actually was about average. Moving into our new home took a lot out of me last month as well as having to fix my girlfriend's car(crankshaft position sensor and both catalytic converters including full exhaust). May is starting off good with over 3000 miles so hopefully I can get into a groove for this month. I'm also hoping that dispatch can continue to work me by the house as much as possible. They really have made a tremendous effort to do that as they know that most drivers don't want to be cooped in their trucks forever.

Received another ticket in VA today. "Failure to obey a highway sign (rest or sleep)". I had a delivery in Salem, VA this morning coming from Breiningsville, PA. I got to the I-81s exit 158 rest area around 2 am and it was packed. I pulled through the rest area and parked at the exit expecting to be left alone as I was going to be leaving a little after 8am. Man this industry is rough on the drivers. Besides that this month has been going well and here are my last two weeks:
