As a driver with TMC for nearly a year and a half I can say that TMC is a GREAT choice. Sorry I missed this thread earlier.

I just finished my orientation yesterday and go out with a trainer tomorrow. I had a great experience at TMC training center in Des Moines. I got the Award of Excellence Plaque in my class. I am very glad I decided on TMC for my first driving job. Just make sure you are 100% sure that you want to work for TMC and be ready to put fourth 110% to get that job. The 12 days that you are in orientation is an interview period. You are always being evaluated. They know what they want in a driver and if you dont fit that criteria they send you home. Good luck on your decision.

During orientation you are being tested. There are straight tests like you took in CDL school, and there are patience tests when you have to wait for something, there are tests to see if you can show up on time, and tests for how well you follow rules. The key is to keep a good attitude.

Yeah that road grime from running can be tough to clean. Those black trucks are so nice looking from being (on line 4) 50 hours a week rubbing and polishing on them.....:biggrin_25523:
