You may have to complete a private or community college CDL school first though. Community college programs are the cheapest. Goodwill Industries may pay for CDL school depending on funding available.Mrzara5oh4 Thanks this. -
If the law stated you couldn't eat Twizzlers or your career would be over, told you they regularly tested for Twizzlers, then you still chose to eat Twizzlers, and then got caught. The problem isn't the Twizzlers.
The Twizzlers served only to showcase a very low IQ, or more likely incredibly bad judgement and decision making skills. Going out on a limb, I'm guessing neither is a desirable in a truck driver?Chip Off The Old Block, KiLLaZiLLa93, Gunner75 and 2 others Thank this. -

Getting a little smokey in here...Where's Bandit?

OP, so far you've showed that you're not the right type for this job. You seem to have ZERO understanding of this industry, a history of drugs and little to no sense of responsibility. For christ sakes, wal mart does urine tests (don't they..? IDK), you think you're getting the keys to an 80k lb GVRW vehicle without peeing in a cup day 1..? No nice way to say this, but that shows you're a real idiot.
As for your repeating, "I realie wonna du dis"... You probably don't. This job has good days, but it's pretty crappy some days. The people that do like this job are usually the ones getting paid well, with or without good home time. You're not gonna get that. To get any kind of driving job, you will be fighting an uphill battle for a CHANCE to get a crappy OTR job with very little hometime, where you will gross a little bit more than a minimum wage employee, but with higher cost of living if you actually have a family or bills at home. After doing that for years, you might luck into a gig with an O/O or luck into a small desperate outfit, but your background will always put you at the bottom of the list, because any company hiring you will see you as a risk, but more importantly, their insurance companies will up their rates for taking you on, and they won't do that.
TLDR: You will literally be better off asking "Would you like fries with that..?"ethos, Chip Off The Old Block, Gunner75 and 1 other person Thank this. -

All of this is obviously too much for the op. Right out of the box he failed a drug screen and more than likely doesn't have a pot to piss in, so SAP is most likely out of the question. We won't have to worry about seeing him out here any time soon. No amount of advice can help him. Doesn't even have a CDL and has been barred from ever working for a company, the biggest one out here. This is a new record.

I'm truly sorry you had/have to go through all this. It sucks, and there seems to be no easy solution. It really is unfair you have your record tainted forever for one mistake, but this is the system we live in, and we all have to be aware and live within its rules. Weed seems to be a misunderstood and feared drug when it's just a substance that makes being bored more ok. I love it but gave it up because I wanted to be clean in case I finally bought the bullet and got my cdl or a different professional job requiring clean pee and have a better memory. Weed pretty much destroys my short-term memory for about a day. I still think you blamed weed for your own lack of forethought and research. I know the truth is hard to hear because I've been in similar situations in the past. Haven't we all?
If I was you, I'd seek out a different career. There are plenty of careers that would be fine with a dirty pee test. Many jobs don't even ask. Go to a community college and get a different valuable skill set. Many of these careers, like plumbing or welding, will keep you home and still pay $$$. Or go to a 4 year college and get a bachelors or masters in something valuable to you and an employer.
Best of luck -
you know you messed up, now do the time. go through the SAP program and then take the time to rebuild yourself. if you truly want to got at it in truck driving, you will. It wont be easy for you, but you can make it. just focus from now on. and dont make excuses for yourself.
