Every company has their better and worse operators, the crew that I had there was great.

Definitely back heavy, had to move it about 2 miles around the perimeter of the airport to an off-site holding yard and bring a different one back in to replace it. I'd never take it down the road like that, customer wanted a stretch lowboy (would have been ideal) but After a quick look at how tight the turns were going to be from point a-b and back, a stretch trailer would have never worked.

That is one I took to Newark International. They had to stop air traffic for me to get to the terminal...what a pain..I'm sure I was #1 on some lists that day.

This was one of 2 boilers that went to a hospital in downtown CO Springs. 15'4" high, 11' wide, around 47k according to the crane operator. This one was a REAL joy to deliver, too.:biggrin_2556:

Yeah, I took the Jetway to work my way home. Wasn't great at all, but served its purpose, and yeah they had to shut down the street so we could back in and blindside around the hospital to the ER entrance where the crane was set up. I think mike had it a little rougher than me. I'm only a 5 axle, and it was pretty tight getting in there.

Tulsa to Calgary Alberta with this one. 16 8 high 14ft wide and stretched to 75 ft between drives and first trailer axle. Strait north through to s and n dakota. My permitted route through n Dakota was 586 miles...200 strait but I got the scenic route. Road bans and height got me. My first big US oversized load too. Lots of stress, met some great people in your fine country. Looking forward to my next visit. My buddy pulls the 10 axle and he gets some comical loads for it (same company Garry Suprovich) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6fD7ziiZbw&list=UUdw67E852jAp7YM0EvVniZw Tiny load in this vid but nice trailers anyway

I don't really do OD stuff much, but here's what i've got in the last 10 months since starting my truck driving career with systems transport.

    10ft wide tires
    [IMG]

11ft 1in wide and 89 ft long air handling unit
    [IMG]

    11ft 11in outhouse
    [IMG]

    12ft 2in tires
    [IMG]

16ft wide tower bases for the wind turbines hauled through Los Angeles
    [IMG]

Got stuck on the side of the road for the night due to the curfew

I enjoy the challenge of the OD stuff, but unfortunately my company doesn't seem to pay well for it.
