I had several seals broken when I drove on hd account.
It was a combination of cold weather, and really cheap seals.
I had to complain, and ask that they try some better seals.
The neck on the tabs was paper thin, and the yard driver was
sealing them up nightly.A real pita to get the seal swapped out
    before leaving :biggrin_25516:

Hey man keep up the good work. I'm right there with you, I work for a beer distributor. I get to go up and down the same steps you do. Nothings better then going up or down a flight of stairs with some kegs.

My day is like yours starts at 4-5am and ends whenever.

Careful what you wish for. Fuel hauling does tend to pay a bit better, but there are trade offs. Schedule stinks. Always hauling hazmat/stuff can spill. Pulling a huge truck into gas stations. Being around toxic fumes all days. Did I mention the schedule stinks?

If that's what the dream is though, don't listen to me or anybody. I've been interested in gas hauling jobs at times...I filled out an app just recently with a smaller carrier here in Brooklyn. Once I realized how lousy the schedule would be and how it really wouldn't pay me any better than a good LTL job, I said "eh...nah."

Island Transport is the place to be if you want to make money in NYC hauling fuel.
And that is the reason I'll never haul fuel. Schedule stinks to high hell for years.

Actually it was Island. Nice enough guys. No overtime though. (what kind of union job doesn't pay overtime?:biggrin_2554:)

Then they told me I'd either be on the morning shift with a start time somewhere between Midnight and 4AM, or the afternoon shift starting between Noon and 4PM, and I think to myself "welll...8 AM shape with weekends off doesn't sound too bad I guess."
