I've been on here for a few months now, but I never actually said hi, so I figured it's about time I did. I'm out of Vancouver, BC, hauling overdimentional/overweight loads. My company specializes in long loads (ie. bridge girders, telephone poles etc.), and I friggen love it! I'm one of those weird people that loves the challenge and enjoys hard work. Strange, I know. I'm glad I stumbled upon this site, as it looks like there's some pretty good stuff here![]()
Hope you all have a good night!

i see you do heavy haul. Respect! thats what i hope to get into next. what would you say is the hardest part?

Probably backing up combo trailers (jeep/lowbed/booster, jeep/steering dolly/booster, megatrains etc), and mountain driving when your load is 120,000+ lbs. You really have to know your gears well, and shift smoothly. Another hurdle I had was the fact that I'm a 5'0 tall girl, who, according to several coworkers, could stand to "eat a sandwich"... It took a while to be able to throw chains over loads, and secure loads tight. I've come a long way since I started haha.

you know i never thought about backing a super load...for some reason i felt like it was understood it would always go foward lol. and yeah at 5'0 i could see how you could have a little trouble at first. but i bet people dont have too much to say these days do they! ive never been up to canada but it seems nice. i had thought about trying to get a temporary citizenship and go to Calgary but that will unfortunately be on a hold for a few years now.smh
