That's fine, but my point is to at least offer the food. Some may accept and that's all they are looking for.

From what I have seen, alot of drivers are good about giving food to the less fortunate.I have and I still will even when driving my car.I'll be more then happy to take them to a burger king. But money nope.Did that once to a retired vet looking for money at a busy stop lite.He was limping.Hard not to have compassion for someone like that.I gave him $10.00.A week later seen the same guy walking with nice clothes on and no limp.Talk about a speedy recovery. So its either food or nothing. There are places ppl can stay too.

Had a lady give me the "ran out of gas and need to make it home" line the other day. I offered to fill her tank but she insisted on cash. I told her to get lost. I'll help someone out with gas or food or even a cup of coffee, but I won't give momey.

Well, patty, if they could come up with an original story they'd be publishing books instead of bumming change, haha.

I always say no to panhandlers, so what I do is at the grocery store there may be an elderly person in front of me that is buying 20 or 30 dollars worth of groceries, I look at the checker and motion that I'll pay for it. They really like it and you know your helping someone who needs it. The clerk usually asks if I know them, I say no just want to help someone who needs it.
